Hello Everyone,
God always gives more! At a time where it feels like everything is being taken away; our social time, our community life, potential loss of good health, shopping sprees (that hurts ☺), the buzzing vibe of our local cafes, our work, our freedom, and our routines; God always gives more! Life online is not quite the same as gathering together. Fear of loss can hum away in the deepest recesses of our minds. When we lose something, we grieve and we feel powerless to recover. As we pause today, we are reminded that God always gives more.
Check out Joseph in Genesis 37-50. Now, there’s a story of isolation; stripped of everything (his family, his culture, his identity, his routine, his sense of favour, his purpose and his future or so he thought). But check out God. What God gave Joseph was beyond any of his expectations; it was so much more.
God will always give us more. Before we take our next breath, He has already given more than we can ask or think. He gives love, security, peace, mercy, provision, healing, comfort, presence, strength, courage, perseverance and so much more. Isaiah 40:29 is just one of hundreds of verses that give us a glimpse at God’s heart to always give more.
So, friends, open your arms wide, because God has positioned you to receive so much more than you can ask or imagine.
Have a read of this poem by Annie Johnson Flint:
He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength when the labors increase,
To added affliction, He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials, He multiplies peace.
When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half-done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources,
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.
His love has no limit, His grace has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto men,
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth and giveth and giveth again.
Best days ahead
